How We Did It
First, we needed to separate the sunflower stems from the bundle. This would would work with any artificial flower. We chose sunflowers because they are my daughter’s favorite.
She wrapped floral tape around the stem and pencil to attach them together.
Pulling the floral tape tightly is the key.
Once we made a few we added them to a special pencil cup that we made with a recycled can and some scrapbook paper. This would be a great gift for teacher appreciation week.
