Here is our Paper Discovery Basket that very little ones have been enjoying exploring recently.
It contained an assortment of everyday paper items including; paper cups, heart post-it notes, small notepad, tubes, baking paper, shiny paper, brown paper,
Coloured paper chains, birthday car, leaflet, envelope and patterned card.
Exploring!
First out was the leaflet. This was turned over, scrunched, studied and then put to one side.
Next out was the patterned circles of card that I cut from larger sheets.
These proved to be really popular, particularly the holographic ones.
Exploring the sound made by rustling the baking paper.
The brown paper made a slightly different sound.
Discovering that paper can be thrown!
Transferring interest to the paper cup.
She recognised what this was as it was the only item in the basket that she tried to put in her mouth!
Exploring rolling with the cardboard tube
Maintaining her interest in the lid of the basket from previous explorations.
