Here is our Halloween sensory tub the children have been busy exploring.
I tried to go for things that were not too scary as the children are still very young:-)
I’ve added buckets, scoops, plastic rats, spiders, cats, skeltons, birds, tealights…
with a bean and lentil base.
I’ve also added a couple of varieties of tongs as the children are interested in using scissors, so hopefully these will help to develop this skill.
The battery operated tea light candles have attracted a lot of interest. The children have been fascinated with trying to turn them on and off.
They’ve used the buckets to fill…
…and empty.
The tongs have also attracted a lot of interest.
Some chose to use both their hands….
….others managed to master them with one hand.
I liked these teabag tongs as they help to strengthen hand muscles.
The children found the skeletons fascinating.
Of their own accord they had them acting out the sleeping bunnies song!
‘Hop little skeletons hop hop hop’:-)
They are slightly obsessed with the song at the moment!
