Here’s our new fabric box:-)
I know I saw this idea on-line somewhere but can’t find where. If it’s your idea please let me know and I’ll add a link.
To make our fabric box I cut a hole in a cardboard storage box and added squares of assorted material in a range of textures.
It’s an open-ended resource so the children are free to use it as they wish.
Baby E was first to explore, exploiting a major design fault – she could get the lid off!
Hot glue soon sorted that!
She enjoyed pulling the fabric through the hole and showing me what she had found.
She continued until she had emptied the box.
She then discovered she could throw the material, this was great fun!
The toddlers were soon over to explore.
They played more creatively with the fabric, at first pretending it was a blanket….
