The last in our series of discovery baskets.
E is much more mobile now and joins in with the other children during heuristic play sessions, so this will be the last discovery basket I make for her.
This time I’ve filled the basket with an assortment of strings, beads, ropes, ribbons, chains etc, trying to find as many different textures and weights as possible.

Each item was pulled from the basket and investigated.

In fact this time, everything went into her mouth.
Some things tasted nicer than others!
The assorted chains were also popular. This may have been because of their cold feel or the fact they were heavier than alot of the other objects.
