This week our discovery basket has been filled with wooden objects.
We included: a spoon, door knob, rolling ping, curtain rings, napkin rings, spinning top, nail brush, egg cup, salad tong, pot pastry brush and door stop.
Baby E can remember how to open the box from last time….
…can select objects that interest her…..
..pick up objects and hold one in each hand, remembering that she has an object in each hand.
…investigate…
…pass objects between hands…
…explore with her mouth…
…repeat patterns of behaviour to explore, here shaking…
…and throwing…
…noticing objects of interest….
… moving herself to a position where she can reach objects of interest….
…learning about sharing and taking an interest in what others do with objects.
